About ABU

America Bangladesh University was established in the year 1995 with a view to provide American Standard curriculam in Bangladesh. Prior to that, America Bangladesh University started its endeavor signing a 2+2 credit transfer program with University of Houston Clear Lake in the year 1997.

America Bangladesh University is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Government (GOV), which has been sponsored by America Bangladesh University Trust Foundation(ABUTF) . The Trust is registered, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization. The members of ABUTF Trust are mostly eminent entrepreneur from academic area, felt the need for a private university to bring quality education within reach of students with modest economic means.

The quality of our teaching and learning is underpinned by the best staff: student ratios. Our professors teach at every level as well as are engaged in ground breaking research. Our work is audited regularly by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and we have been supported by a strong Advisory Council.
